Do you HAVE A TEAM OF PLANNERS?
YES! It takes a village to plan, design and execute events. We have a TEAM of planners who are here to help you along the way. This is our profession, this is not something we do "on the side" or after our other full time job. This IS our full time job and that means you are able to reach us during the week when you need us!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PLANNING WEDDINGS?
Holly began planning weddings in 2010 and launched her own company, South Holly Road, in 2012. When she and Richard met they rebranded to The Hardin House and continued creating and planning events as a team. Over the past 8 years the crew has planning over 200 weddings and events.
SO WHAT EXACTLY DOES A WEDDING PLANNER DO?
We oversee the logistical elements of hosting a wedding, and break up the planning into phases, so it’s manageable and less overwhelming for the bride and groom. We get to know each client, do a ton of research, suggest vendors, meet with those vendors (either with or without the client), read contracts carefully, handle negotiations and make sure that everything goes smoothly on the day of the wedding.
What do you wish more people knew about wedding planners?
Its impossible to show up the day of the wedding and be able to manage the wedding. For everything to go smoothly on your wedding day, a planner has to work with a client for at least three to four weeks leading up to the event to make sure that all the vendors are on the same page.
Also, there is a big different between a wedding planner and a wedding designers. Wedding planners are there to help organizing and manage the wedding day. Wedding Design entails looking into the aesthetics of the event—making everything beautiful, creating color palettes, floor plans and telling a client which linens go with which flowers and lights.
Do you OFFER "DAY OF PLANNING" or JUST FULL SERVICE PLANNING?
YES! We offer Day of Planning but in fact, call this "Wedding Weekend Planning" because we are there more than just the day of the wedding day. We meet with you several weeks before the wedding, run the ceremony rehearsal and then arrive to manage the logistics for you on the wedding day.
WHAT OTHER SERVICES DOES THE HARDIN HOUSE OFFER?
We are wedding planning, floral design and also have a really cool Photo Booth! If you aren't sure whether or not you need a wedding planner, our a la carte consultation hours can work wonders! Inquire for more details!
IS THE HARDIN HOUSE ALSO A VENUE?
Nope, we do not own an event venue... BUT maybe one day! The Hardin House is our team of planners. We also consider our brides and grooms a big part of the family too!
What are some advantages to working with a wedding planner?
A planner can save you time, energy, stress—and most importantly money. The fee that a planner charges can be expensive, but the advice that you get can help you save.
For example, one couple I worked with was concerned about the overall cost of their event. I explained that if they cut a handful of people from the guest list, switched their event start time and allow us to create a new floor plan design, they could save over $10,000. They had no idea this was a possibility—and those tips more than paid for our services!!
When you hire a planner, you won’t spend hours on Google looking for potential vendors and stressing. It’s difficult to plan a dinner party for 10 people, let alone an event for over 100.
